Streetlight Ministries is involved in the following activities:

  • Sunday Worship Services - 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome! During Sunday services a nursery is available for young children.
  • Little Lamps - Sunday mornings 10:50 - 11:30 (during the morning worship service) - children are engaged in a short story and activity that corresponds with the Sunday morning message
  • Sunday Night Kids' Korner - Sunday from 6:30 - 7:45 p.m. (during the Streetlight evening Sunday Service). Each week the children are told a Bible story to correspond with the evening message, recite the Lord's Prayer, Apostle's Creed and learn some Bible texts. The program ends with a snack and some time to play games.
  • Sunday Night Teen Club - Sundays after the worship services, teens are encouraged to come upstairs to discuss the message proclaimed in the worship service and how it applies to their lives!
  • Cadets - Monday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. - a program geared for local boys aged 11 and up.  The boys learn more about the Bible through lessons led by mature male volunteers.  They also work together to build different projects, train for different events and earn special badges. 
  • "Little Candles" Children's Choir - Tuesdays after school from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. for elementary school aged children who love to sing! 
  • Adult Group Bible Study - Tuesday evening from 7:15 - 9:00 p.m. at the ministry centre.  After a time of singing and prayer, adults break up into 3 groups.  Each group has leaders to lead the Bible study.  The evening ends with time for refreshments and fellowship.
  • Kids' Club - Wednesday afternoons after school, 3:10 - 5:00 p.m. - a program geared to the downtown neighborhood children.  These children, ranging from 5 to 10 yrs old, are split into separate age groups and taught Bible stories for 45 min and then join together to participate in a snack and crafts or outdoor games.
  • Catechism Classes - Tuesday afternoons at 1:30 p.m. and Wednesday evenings 6:30 p.m. - a special adult class for those who wish to have a better understanding of the teachings of the Bible.
  • Daylight Ladies' Bible study - Thursday afternoon 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. This time begins with singing and prayer. The ladies then split into groups for Bible study.
  • Kingdom Seekers - Thursday nights from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. - Kingdom Seekers is a club designed for girls aged 11 and up, where we study the Bible, learn life skills through badge work, and enjoy crafts, activities and singing.
  • Sunlight Life Skills Club - Friday afternoons at 1:00 - a program that seeks to help individuals learn various life skills to assist them in day to day living
  • Teen Drop-in - alternating Fridays from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. - the teenage drop-in is a great opportunity to get to know other teenagers in an informal way. We learn about the Bible through video-clips, movies and informal discussion about how they relate to our lives. Worship bands liven up the atmosphere during the drop-ins. There are opportunities to visit with other youth groups from other churches and join their programs. The main goal is to have fun together but also to learn more about who God is and how we can worship him.
  • Mentoring Program -loosely modeled after the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, this outreach allows children with special needs and challenges to receive extra mentoring.
